EDGE is just Faster GPRS.Theres 4 stages GPRS,EDGE,3G,HSDPA.The fastert being HSDPA so if the 4une has 3g or hsdpa u wnt need edge and vise versa. * +

EDGE gives you a faster way to access the internet.It gives approximately 239kbps.But both of your network operator and handset should support this function to get EDGE availability.Though your network support this feature it may be not available in some areas of your country.When this EDGE is not available your connection will be automaticaly changed to GPRS. *
