for anyone interested in this topic... makesure you know your phones imei number... especially if you buy the phone 2nd hand and without a box. the box would have the imei on it. if you have no box then key in *#06# to showup imei. blocking a phone may depend on your networks procedures. different networks, different procedures. phone your network up and tell them your phone been stolen and this.. *

is your imei... tell them the imei. it would be easier if your sim card is registered with network too. some networks on registration ask for a imei number to make blocking quicker and easy if phone is lost or stolen e.g U.K Orange. *
