Excellent question, i have no clue lol, on D600 and D900, you can choose in your settings menu, usb as modem, picbridge or stockage, cab't be sure there's same option in your phone, but better try to borrow an usb cable from one of your mate n give it a try, or test your own cable on an otha pc. * +

Erm you do need the driver or the computer will say USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNISED it cannot be the cable, the cable just networks the phone and the pc. You need the driver to tell the pc what u are plugging in believe me ive tested this out. * +

Hello Haqz, you don't need driversm for usb charging mate, that's what i was answering at, sure you'll need to install it for samsung softwares or using your phone as modem, but that's not the subject of this post

the prop is either faulty cable or ur usb port on pc, if its usb port 1.0 then it probly wnt wrk, if the cable is conectd 2 frnt usb ports then that cud b the prob bcuz oldr pcs has usb ports 1.0 in frnt and the ports 2.0 wch u need at the back... old pcs only hav port 1.0 *
