You can't m8, the only way to display it temporaly is via the left side navigation keys. * +

You can disable the black screen on your fone. But in not sure that it will have the same display as the d500. Ill try it and let you know what happens. * +

I tried it and it dont work at all the sleep screen still comes on after doin nothing for a while. That sucks! Lol. * +
