the warranty on my phone has expired and I have decided to explore the possibility of installing new firmware on my 5800 called 'Photon 3.0' which has been regarded as 'The Fastest Firmware'. details can be found at the following link http://forum.smartphonegeeks.in/index.php?topic=3190.0 * +

before finding out how to do it there's a few things I'd like to know first. why is it regarded as OFW instead of CFW? what are the risks involved in flashing? and will I be able to unbrick my phone if it happens to get bricked while installing the new firmware? hope my questions can be answered. * +

Cfw yes youll proberly brick your phone yes you can unbrick it but may have to get it flashed by box, id stay with the official if I was you , otherwise your potential install anything whoever modded it wants to put in there * +

daily mobile has a massive cfw cooking community who can better answer any questions. it 50 times to make your own custom fw than it is to make a hidden app to plant inside. i wouldn't worry so much. * +
