wat app is it. and why do you want to do that ? the uid isn't enough if you got an update error, the fone is still detecting components as being installed already. so it depends wat the app is, and if it installs components along with the main app too. * +

sorry i cant help you with that part. how this works is very complicated and i dont understand it myself. but if you say you've opened an sis file changed the uid and got it to install as far as the update error then you could try stealing the uid number from an app your never going to use. * +

As far as I can tell, uids are diff for diff applications. The application contents are installed in a folder defined by its uid. I don't think u can change another developers application uids unless u have the application source code,resources,ur own genuine uid and u know how to compile it into a installer. And even if u manage to install using a diff uid,the application wont work bcoz u will have to modify the resource paths in the source code. * +
