there not the same at all under the skin. Different processors mean the perform very differently. the 96 has the worst build quality ever and generally is considered not 2 be a good fone although it has some good features like its music chip. * +

my n96 is still in mint condition from release. great built quality. n95, now that was bad. * +

IMO, N95-8GB felt better built than the N96, N95-8gb was also faster and generaly more powerful than a N96, where the N96 did well was music and video, but suffered from tremendous lag, it didnt last that long in the market, Nokia quickly released the N85 after N96 flopped. I'd actualy go as far as to say the N96 is where Nokias troubles began as they never did bring a true N95 successor. * +

its had a bit of a squeeky battery cover i guess but other than that its solid. better slider than the n95s too. takes about 4 minuites to boot up now though lol. booted up my 6670 the other day. its amazing how poor the display was and the ngage games i though were great graphics were really cr*ppy. * +
