it never happened to me that but do you have a pc? If you have plug it to it with usb cable and then select data transfer and in your computer see if there's another disc if you have check the disc properties and then tools and then check for errors see if this help you. Sorry but the phone I've one like yours and pc to but they're in portuguese so this is the best I can explain you * +

@3mel mine never had such problem and believe me I use more this phone than the lg P500 and the mass memory works fine slow via usb to pc but that's the problem of all N95 8gb * +
