I have been to some sites providing applications.I use a Opera browser for download it and install.Recently I download an app with the extension of .sisx.Could anybody please explain technically whats the difference between these? * +

..SIS stands for S.oftware I.nstallation S.cript,it's a Symbian OS archive..aand sis.X stands for signed file (that's why,sometimes,you won't be allowed to install a sisX file;that'd depend on vendor and certificate,some sisx files you'll be able to install)..sisX files indicates it's an OS9 app and above v3,sis is Symbian in general..*but not always* you can claim sis file is unsigned,cont.. * +
