i've used symtorrent on n95 for years. Speed varied. On average 100kbs had it at over 200kbs at times. But for a while now every torrent is around 10kbs. Which is shocking. Tried reinstalling app still same. Read that o2 are slowing speeds when using torrents. Can they do that? Anyone else gettin slow speeds using o2 or symtorrent? Is there another way of gettin torrents using n95? Someone check the torrent speed if u want. Its deadliest catch series7 ep1 700mb * +

yes they can do this, count yourself lucky they haven't put a stop 2 it altogether. For better speeds tho set an alarm for 3am and start your torrent downloadin from then * +

Yep. Generally leave it going overnight while on charge still never done. Used to always be done next day. Oh well..... Someone should make a torrent app where your isp thinks its something else and not a torrent. Would be nice * +

@yemko a torrent file is link 2 a specific file being shared on lots of ppl's computers. there usually about 10k to 50k, u download the torrent file and start the app and that connects u 2 the network of ppl sharing and downloading the torrent which could be a movie or album or software. Ppl with the full file r called seeders, ppl downloadin r leechers. the more seeders the better and * +

the fewer leechers the better too. cos it'll b faster 2 download. Google 4 for a file u want like scary movie avi but with the word torrent infront. And go thru all the sites offering a torrent file. Find 1 with as many seeders as poss and download it and symtorrent will open and u can start 2 download it. * +

u can stop and come back to it later and carry on, but a lot of networks will block this type of download as it expensive for them 2 let u do it. plus it takes a long time unless it a very popular file like a tv show or something which would have hundreds of seeders. It may only work 4 u once only so dont break the 1st download u try but leave it running and just keep your on charge. * +

1 trick u can try is changin the port number from the settings menu while its running. Most traffic goes on port number 6881 the default setting but changing the last number from 1 to 9 can find a port with less traffic and so a faster connection without loosing any seeders or peers. * +
