Apparently the Department of Telecom in India has banned Nokia's Push Email service: http://is.gd/qqjPpa 
is it already down??? Or are you still getting Emails pushed to you? Im suprised as this wasn't widely announced. * +

I live here in kashmir, India and sms are banned here from the last 1.5 years now.. and there was a time when mobile services were totally banned for around 8 months. * +

The DoT is contemplating the situation...Once again like in RIM's case the issue will be sorted out nd the ban wont happen.....Nwyz the service is still goin on great guns for all of us !!

Even though operators ban it, it will still work with my wifi. I often use my 3G

What's so bad about push email? I would've thought it'd promote productivity. One of those weird things I guess, like Bluetooth being 'illegal' in France.. * +
