It is based on eldar's write-up. And as far as I know, Nokia has never formed an alliance. But their current CEO has worked for Microsoft in past, so it could get materialize. * +

It could just be for software e.g. Office apps in both Symbian and Meego devices. AFAIK Nokia would rather be in charge of their own fate than be a hardware maker for MS, there's just no differentiation amongst these WP7 smartphones as MS has strict requirements and control over their hardware and software, i just cant see Nokia going that route . * +
