Google maps isnt offline. Use Ovi maps, you can download India maps from pc. It should be approx 130mb in size. * +

I used battery timer battry ctrl like apps they are not accurate in full charge they show 3days will take to discharge and within 5mins of use shows 2days ,,today i installed sygic 10 performed very good batter then ovimaps the only problem with ovi maps is we can only download maps from ovisuite by connecting device very painfull for me .... *
