is there any way possible by use of 'native' phone applications i can integrate an option to make internet calls directly from a phonebook? there's an option to configure a sip profile under settings ---admin settings --- SIP settings. But i havent been able to set anything there, so my question is whats the use of profile created here, will i be able place an internet call using this profile? *

Yes thats possible. But to make a call, you'll have to buy credits from SIP providers. You better install Fring and make free calls to online friends. *
