i have n96,when up and running its perfect the problem is when battery runs out and i charge it and try turn phone on the screen is just black just the navigation breathing light comes is on. I keep having to take battery out and and back in for ages before the phone will boot up. I tried new battery,formatted phone and still having same problem. Any ideas what could be the problem. Try a firmware update maybe thatll fix it or dunt let your battery run total flat .mines charged before it switch itself of exhausted * +

cheers mate. My firmware is totally up to date. Thats fair enough but sometimes battery will die as not near charges i.e work. But thanks anyway for replying * +

when a battery runs out. And you recharge it's normal for the phone to take a long time to come on. So 
next time the battery is exhausted. Just plug back in and wait for a while then the screen will show nokia (like my phone). Or 'charging' indication. Then u can turn it on. * +

thats cos the phone runs and battery and not designed for straight DC. * +

so its normal for 8 hours for a phone to turn on then,oh my mistake lol. I it wont let me do an update again. Oh well guess the phone is wasted. Cheers anyway *
