1: Yes. 2: Not sure for your phone, but in general the bigger the mmc, the slower it is for the phone to handle. * +

More stuff to process. Its like eg a pc (in this case a mobile) with 'X' speed and 10GB full harddrive (lets say harddrive is mmc), now if the harddrive becomes 1000GB its gonna take a lot more time to go through it all. * +

Mate it will only be slow wen u try to view the memory card menus. I have a 128 card an its a lil slow to load so i guess 512 will be worse.. I got 3 albums on a 128 and few meg left for pix or video * +
