I think its worth saying also though, that the volume of whatever you're playing depends on the actual recording. Some ring tones i have are stupidly loud anyway, whereas mp3 full tracks are not quite so loud because the source isn't great. And anyways, if you turn up the volume on a phone it gets all tinny and full of treble. Only with headphones can you actually hear any mid range or base. All depends on what you want to be loud and why. *
