Go to www.nokia.com and under the update software link, there is an option to check the latest firmware of any phone.... What u hav2 do is to post ur product code(printed under the battery) there.... * +

And the problem u r talking about happened to me also in my previous handset... I also lost my default calculator and email client though I've updated my phone from nokia's official site.... Btw, I hope u will regain ur default apps after doing an update.... So just type ur product code and check wheater any new firmware is officially available or not.... * +
