Hi there guys, i understand nokia has some sort of block built in when one wants to download files larger than 1,5Mb. Is there any way around this? I have a 6234 by the way. Would appreciate any feedback you have for me thanks guys :-D xx

Hmmm never had any trouble downloading files over 1.5mb and i do it quite alot maybe its your network provider? * +

Whenever i try i receive a warning saying 'file too large'. Even when i download it with my pc and transfer it to my phone it blocks me. The site i'm trying to download from also displayed this warning pertaining nokia phones. Maybe they set some sort of restriction default in my country i dunno? My fiance downloaded the exact same file with his w810i and viola no problemo. I'm sure there's gotta be a trick around it..... x * +

I got a 6300 have been able to download files as big as 11mb and even wit my last phone a s**tty 2630 i could download 6 or 7mb * +

It must be ur net work im on tmobile and have down loaded podcasts up 2 30mb * +

I forgot to specify the filetype i'm having this trouble with.....it's with jar/jad. Video and audio is fine, it's the applications that's a bit of a hassle. Also want to rectify myself, that website i'm trying to download the full app from, did say some nokia phones has this limit, not all nokias as i said previously.... Apologies for my misunderstanding * +

There u go..... There is no file download limit in nokia phones.... But every nokia phone has a java download limit.... U cannot download a java file over that limit.... And I dont think u can even download a java file of 1mb on that phone...... * +
