May be your mmc is currupted r you getting the mess (not formatted)when you try to format also it takes long time saying its formatting then no use get another mmc *

It means your mmc is new and need to be formatted for first use. Just format it. Highlight memory card in gallery then press option(left soft key) and click on format. Wait till it formats. *
