i dropped in water, survived tho everything ok except no sound. phone showing headphone symbol, never had anything connected. anyway to rid of that. ta. * +

Sell the phone or send it for repairs. Meanwhile, if there's no sound you can use your headset to make calls and listen to MP3s etc. I'd sell it if i were you coz after water damage it'll never be the same again sorry i'm not expert, but that's my opinion! How did you damage btw? Went swimming? * +

Oh did you try using a hair drier? It'll remove any extra drops of water. nod we've done that a couple of times. * +

As a electronic technician and phone technician your phone need to be opened to dry internally plus remove water residue and water damage and next time phone drop in water or water drop in phone the first thing you do remove the phone battery then send the phone to the phone repair shop for internal check, if repair is needed they will tell you good2 * +
