U almost got the latest version coz i hav da 3.89 which is the same. I always use 1gb memory card n also get no problem with it. Wat kind of memory r u using? Normal mmc, dualvolt mmc...? * +

I think RC MMC always work better. Well depending on the software version and MMC type, you may had to have formatted your MMC before saving your files... See if u can copy your files onto another memory and format that one. *
