sounds like its had a heavy weight put on it but then her phone would be crushed too. Dont use damaged battery's. Bin it and get new one. I dont think batteries are covered under warranty though she could try the dealer she bought it from. * +

never heard of that before... when i was at school/college i remember people passing their phones around... even lending... but some dodgy people swap things around. doubt thats the case here though lol. * +

it happened to me too.i've to change the battery.it caused some funny incidents too.the battery bar was showing full,a call came and the phone got switched off.i think its due to over usage. * +
