It started with the old CRT monitors (is that right?) where the image is projected onto the glass ..... anyway, that is why degauss and screensavers were developed ... Screensavers load after a small amount of time to stop an image being burnt onto the glass and leaving a shadow..Degauss can -sometimes- clear it but the image appearing afta a small amount of time has since been calld a screensaver * +

and yeah sorry- thats just a long way of saying some computer screens get damaged if the picture on it stays the same for a long time .. So the made screensavers which save the screen by showing a moving image ... The name 'screensaver' has kinda stuck .. * +

i like my screensaver on 6610i with the clock on it too,lol. Pity u cant see the clock in the dark tho *
