I hear you can only have it done by a tech. My 6230 had the scrolling lockup problem. I'm with Cingular. I did a lot of searching on the problem, trying to find a way to upgrade or downgrade the firmware myself. I saw a post where a person with the same problem simply had the SIM card replaced and it worked. So I tried that, and so far no lockups. Only been a day though. *
