Not sure about 7600, on 6230 its easy go to media player, camera, settings then turn sounds off. Cant be 2 different cos all nokias r the same! I agree though it is a really annoying sound. * +

There are no settings to turn off camera sound. I will pay 10.00 for all 7600's that drive their owners round the twist. * +

Some firmwares don't let u turn it off. Permanently, u can get a hardware reset. But i've found tiat if u use the 'ok' button 2 take a photo n then press a number button a few times quickly afterwards it makes no noise. Hope that helps. * +
