Sounds like its network locked,or locked to that perticular sim,take it to a mobile shop or market store, im sh*re for a fiver they would sort it being an older model,good luck * +

no its an option in the fones settings you can make so it requires the security code if the sim is changed. if you cant remember the code you put in then take it to a Nokia care centre with proof that its yours and they'll reset it for you. there are other ways with a pc and software like nss or jaf if i'm not mistaken. * +

Using nss or jaf plug in usb and a working sim card choose pc suit and after detecting the phone click security then you would see the code. *
