@simomed. Dude, you'll be better off asking in a linux forum somewhere. As far as I can tell though, GPRSec is available for linux, (and winXP) if you just google. I'm pretty sure that you have to transfer from pc though. A direct-to-cell download won't work. * +

To install packages, better to use the Synaptic Package Manager. You can also search any app there. To easily connect to GPRS, pair your phone, then click the network icon in taskbar. Then you can see your MAC address below your phones name like AB:06:D2:5A. Click on it. For better experience, try Linux Mint. It is modified from Ubuntu and is more easy to use and many bugs fixed with added features. * +
