'Whosoever completes the Quran during the early hours of the day, the Malaa'ikah ask Allaah Ta3aala to show Mercy on such a person for the balance of the day.. Likewise, whoever completed it at the commencement of the night, then they ask Allaah Ta3aala to show Mercy on him for the balance of the night..' * +

Jundub bin Sufyaan Radheyal Laahu relates that Nabee Sallal Laahu 3Alayhe Wasallam fell ill.. He did not awaken during the latter part of the night.. This was for 2 or 3 nights.. Then a woman, Abu Lahab's wife, in some narrations, came to Nabee Sallal Laahu 3Alayhe Wasallam and said: 'O Mu7hammad *Sallal Laahu 3Alayhe Wasallam* I wish that your shay6taan has indeed left you and forsaken you.. I see he has not come close to you for 2 or 3 nights..' * +

Thereupon Allaah revealed surah ADH-DHU7AA: 'By the oath of the appearance of broad daylight - from the morning sun - and the coming of the night when it becomes so still - and dark.. The cycle which none besides Allaah can change - Indeed, your Sustainer has neither forsaken you, nor is He unhappay or annoyed with you..' * +

When Jibraa'eel 3Alayhis salaam completed his recital of this surah, Nabee Sallal Laahu 3Alayhe Wasallam in gratitude, appreciation and thankful to Allaah, said: 'ALLAAHU AKBAR!' Allaah made a firm rejection of the mushrekeens false perpetration.. Thereafter, Nabee Sallal Laahu 3Alayhe Wasallam instructed that 'ALLAAHU AKBAR' be said at the end of each surah from 'WADH DHU7HAA to NAAS..' * +
