What evidence? It's pure delusion usually by people who hate Islam.
Same people usually look at Muslim society be of conservative type. Reading in history, have you ever seen Aisha complaining about her marriage? Never.. Or her father Abu Bakr? Never happened. They and others considered the prophet as their model and best person in both character, piety, ethics and values.

You know well what happened to the women who complained. Its even in the text itself were a woman was at fault herself for getting beaten by her man. Muhammad also hit aisha in the chest. The book was written by misogynists that kept women under there boot. Even to this day we see it happen were the sharia law is enforced. * +

This is in the context giving instructions how to divorce a woman.

Quran 65:1 O Prophet! 761;Instruct the believers:762; When you 761;intend to762; divorce women, then divorce them with concern for their waiting period,1 and count it accurately. And fear Allah, your Lord. Do not force them out of their homes, nor should they leaveunless they commit a blatant misconduct. These are the limits set by Allah. And whoever transgresses Allahs limits has truly wronged his own soul. You never know, perhaps Allah will bring about a change 761;of heart762; later.2

Quran (65:4) The waiting period of those of your women who have lost all expectation of menstruation shall be three months in case you entertain any doubt; and the same shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated. As for pregnant women, their waiting period shall be until the delivery of their burden. * +

That proves that girls who had not had periods yet had to also be waited out to see if pregnant before divorcing them and throwing them out was allowed. That means it was common to be married to kids and have sex with them. Even possible to divorce them. Horrible book to follow. * +

These teachings still affect ppl into thinking that way still in the modern times. Many are just afraid to admit it is a problem. My point still remains about muhammad being a fraud and not a holy man at all. All he ever taught benefitted him personally. Was driven by fleshly l*st all his life and opressed other ppl. Let his followers torture ppl to death for just laughing at some of the crazy things he did. Being put this in your head early on that someone like that is holy and a symbol of good just messes up the understanding of what is good and selfless. * +

So you think it was okay? If the age of consent were lowered here in the UK to 9 years old you would be okay with that?
