So,with a little thought and questioning we can find no state or condition is permanent. That includes the state of nonexistence (assuming you believe that death state is a state of nonexistence). * +

If in mega billions of years an arrangement of matter identical in every way to the quantum level of my own body now could spring into existence, my fear is, what if ten of me will spring into existence? And if there are parallel universes, am I on a serial and parallel repeat? (omg) So which one is me? Am I me, myself and I ? Is me, me? (shocking) * +

I think our death is permanent. If there will be another identical me to my undetectable levels, it won't be me. Just a copy or ten copies of me, with new experiences.
If there's something in us that continues after death, the so called soul with multiple life journeys and experiences and it will search to inhabit a new body, it won't be me again. Me would just be a sh*tty episode of a movie. And the soul would be pretty stupid to seek to inhabit a new body and come back here unless there's a prize to it in the end, dunno. Or there's no prize and the other side sucks so much that the soul escapes and comes back here.

If there's heaven where I get to continue my existence just praising a deity with nothing else to do while some of my loved ones are burning or being tortured in hell, it would be another sh*tty existence. Or if I end up in hell being tortured while my loved ones are in heaven thinking of me and praising the one who sent me to hell because they have to, it would be another sh*tty existence. Then again the whole idea itself is so stupid,only people could've come up with it.
