Malaysian MP Shabudin Yahaya has drawn condemnation after appearing to suggest it was okay for r*pists to marry their victims, and that those aged 12 were old enough to get married.

Mr Shabudin made the comments during a debate in parliament over a law criminalising child 'grooming' and establishing a special court to deal with child sexual abuse.

Despite a push from the opposition, the law does not ban child marriages. Mr Shabudin said banning child marriages was contrary to Sharia law. ....thank goodnes for organisations like WAO and SIS *
