Christianity isn't the only religion with a past like that and isn't the oldest one either.

In which other religion were followers persecuted for believing and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and saviour of the world? * +

When you believe in Jesus you won't just feel joy, you'll have joy and your joy will be complete. As Christians we believe that Jesus is the closest friend a person can have. Imagine having a friend who owns everything and he has promised you that you can have anything as long as you ask him. If you trust that friend I don't think you can ever lack anything, because he'll always be there for you. The joy that Jesus gives is not like the joy we are accustomed to in this world which comes and goes. His joy is complete.

What infantile rubbish. * +

People were always persecuted/killed for their beliefs throughout history, no matter what they believed in. Read the topic, our previous comments..You're not above everyone else, you're not the nr1 victims of the world, or more special than the rest of people and their religions around the planet * +

a nice sentiment, one that has never and will never, ever be real, even right here in the imaginary social networking, can't have a direction of unity. we by nature are incapable of it, by nature are divisive. you ever get time read about people of somalia, so shocking the extent we as humanity can go to

''If nothing destroyed Christianity in 2000+ years, be confident that nothing will ever destroy Christianity in another 2000+ years, for the God of Christianity is the truth.''

2000 years is nothing in the grand scale of things. A blink of an eye in the lifetime of the universe. *
