I did, what you fail to realise is the Quran was revealed over a period of time and that slavery was therefore phased out hence the treatment of slaves, the emancipation of slaves the freeing of slaves and the prohibition of slavery... * +

the Quran is a Guide and Muhamad (saw) the exemplar.. if it was not fit for a prophet to have a slave because he is after the frail goods of this world ... is NOT a clear indication that a man of God should not follow his low desires but follow a path of righteousness then this discussion is fruitless... * +
