so many times have heard (and read) that natural disasters or spread of deadly disease(s) is gods punishment on humankind for its sins and evils.

for instance.....insurance companies usually have a waiver and clause included in their house insurance policies to absolve them of liability for paying out on incidents that are considered an act of god (usually discretionary too).

what has god got to do with anything the earth does in its own evolvement and life?

What are your views on this very widely held belief by many religious people? (chin) * +

there is one year for the Children of the Earth to find safety away from the worlds of men a great famine throughout the world, like man cannot imagine. Waters will run vile, the poisons of man's sins running strong in the waters of the soils, lakes, and rivers.
Crops will fail, the animals of man will die, and disease will kill the masses.
The grandchildren will feed upon the remains of the dead, all about will be the cries of pain and anguish. Roving men will hunt and kill other men for food, and water always scarce. The land, the water, the sky all are poisoned, man will live in the wrath of the Creator.
Man will hide at first in the cities, but there he will die. Few will run to the wilderness, but the wilderness will destroy them for they had long ago been given a choice. Man will be destroyed, his cities in ruin, and it is then that the grandchildren will pay the debts of their grandfathers and grandmothers.- (omg) * +
