there is a legend that i know of that was talked about when i was a child that some ancient Angels used to possess.

The gift of fire.

In legend, the symbol of the pheonix is quite a strong, powerful one to Angel bloodline. The art of self combustion and rebirth has been likened to the journey of the soul and also the path of each reincarnation. It is also present in many religious teachings and wisdoms. As well as also drawn in ancient art, written about in ancient writings and also used to this day as a positive symbol in gaming and literature.

It is also used in an ad-lib fashion as the eagle without the power of rebirth as a strong symbol of negative energy that is and has been used throughout centuries, in the act of wars. The ensign to the end of soul life. The reason it has lost the rebirth message is because it is a sin to take life and this taints the souls journey to enlightenment. Hence why the symbol of soul rebirth was removed in the fire that expels from within.
