Morals, values and ethics are becoming endangered. The media is pushing the ''liberation from religion and guilt'' idea and it sounds very okay, but what is it actually causing? Morals and good values make society strong. Without it, wich is where we are going, people become corrupted. I know there are many people who have many reasons to throw out religion and let that be their expression of free will, but do they understand the value of good values? * +

morality and values are not only for the religious, in fact I would say more atheists have better morals and values * +

Objective Morality comes from your sense of empathy, which is supposed to be an occurrence of natural phenomena, you empathize with others, hence do not hurt someone. If you lack morality, then there's something wrong with you. Subjective morality however is relative, and constantly changing though time. You claim Atheists are morally inferior? Try implementing the laws from the O.T. in the current society, if you say you wouldn't, and it is was for people of those times. Then you prove my point. I should also add, the concept of mass-media today was nothing like in the old days, yet back then people used to openly practice Pederasty, slavery, murdering of homosexuals, oppression of women, and whatnot. And that's right, many of these concepts were widespread in your golden era of Christianity. Please explain that. * +

Obviously it isn't, religion just gives you an incentive haha. And when it comes to you saing atheists have better morals than religious people,I guess you can say whatever you want to say. This is a very important topic and one that is either overlooked or ignored. A war is being waged against morality itself and nobody is fighting back * +

I sent that before I saw your reply vampboy. Yoh, you're out on a mission ey. ''Golden era of christianity''? ''Claiming that religious people are morally superior''? ''O.T morals in todays society''? Geez. A lot of words, none of wich I said or claimed and already I am close to proving your point? Before this goes any further, do you care about what's right or who's right? * +

bozzalad 14.02.14 - 03:25pm
your morals may well not be my morals , * +

slatekev 14.02.14 - 03:40pm
Agreed bozzalad. I am not going to make any assumptions as to your moral quality. There are definite lines concerning morality, amorality and immorality. Vampboy was right about what he said about Old Testament morality in todays world,it just would not work, but to make morality too subjective is a mistake. And gypsy, haha I'd gladly tell you as long as this doesn't become a semantic argument,so maybe I shouldn't haha * +
