I do find it interesting that plenty of atheists views on multi dimensions multi universes quantum physics string theory etc and they take it all as fact, simply because it's in the name of ''science'' , when most folks really do see it as a headache even thinking about it, but the slight mention of the possibility of a creator is instantly jumped on by the same crowd as fantasy

I can't speak for all atheists but I see multi verses etc as plausible ideas. I'm not invested in them emotionally in the same way creationists are invested in their idea of god. If something comes along that proves another idea conclusively then that is the idea I will accept, it's not a question of believing it or not, there is nothing to believe in. Where there is evidence there is no need for belief.
Another example is aliens. I believe in aliens whether in bacteria form or hollywood style aliens, I'm not sure. My belief is not like a religious belief because it's based on something plausible (the sheer size of the universe and basic odds), however I must concede that until there is solid evidence I cannot claim aliens as factual. * +
