He survived several attacks on his life, including a suicide attack on his residence in September 2011 in which almost eight people were killed. He is known for fighting against the Gangsters from Liyari with his Task force. He was a gargantuan threat to the extremist organizations in Pakistan, it's a well known fact that Khan conducted raids against banned outfits, including Lashkar-e-Jhangvl and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, he even fought against the very well known Lyaris warlord Rehman Dakait and other criminals operating in the city. He was also known for capturing the Pakistani Taliban, Ameer Qari Saeed, and his deputy in the same raid. Due to his firm, but ruthless stance against the extremists, he was targeted three times, once when about four people, including an ASI, were gunned down by unidentified culprits in the attack.
