The universe was created almost 14 billion years ago. The Earth, over 4 billion years ago. Humans have existed for 200,000 years with ancestors going back millions of years.

These are statements of fact. They contradict Genesis. Most moderate Christians and successive Popes accept these statements. Genesis is a metaphor and the literal view of Genesis is actually fairly recent.

Does that prove that God is a work of fiction? Well, if Genesis isn't real, then there was no Abraham. But that's OK, we still have Moses. Right? Nope. Exodus is also a work of pure fiction.

Exodus tells the story of how Moses led the Hebrews out of Egypt and gave God's laws to the Israelites. If Genesis was about who God is, Exodus is about what God wants. They are the founding documents of the Abrahamic faiths. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all connect back to Abraham and Moses. It is true them that we gain knowledge of God and are first told his will. The trouble is, they never existed, their stories are pure fiction and the Abrahamic God is really just an offshoot of a Canaanite religion where Yahweh was part of a pantheon of gods.

There was no exodus from Egypt. In fact the Hebrews were never slaves of Egypt. Judaism developed in Canaan. Yahweh was one of many gods. He wasn't even the chief deity. He was subservient to El. He even had a lover, a consort called Asherah, who continued to be worshiped long after the Yahweh sect went off on its own. These too, are statements of facts.

So if Yahweh didn't start out as the creator god, if Genesis and Exodus, the foundation of the Abrahamic faiths, are works of fiction, what does that mean for everything else? What does that mean for Jesus and Muhammad? Well Jesus' claim of being the Messiah is supposedly proved by him fulfilling certain prophecies laid out in what Christians call the Old Testament. But if those prophecies are based on the false premise of Judaism's foundation, what good are they? In fact we already know th * +

...we already know that the Abrahamic god is fictional and given that there's no evidence for Jesus' miracles whatsoever and that Islam is basically the religious equivalent of a movie franchise reboot, same basic story, minor changes, Muhammad doesn't have a leg to stand on either.

But here is a fact. Troy exists. It was found and over the years, evidence of fires, high walls and battles have also been found. There's more evidence that the Iliad is true than there is of the claims in Abrahamic scripture. In fact there is no evidence whatsoever that any of the Torah, the Gospels or the Quran are in any way true.

That's basically what the rest of the post would have said. * +

Is it so unbelievable that the universe created its self by its self and the life within it, or would you rather belive a supernatural being created it,but then you have the same problem, who created the creator and who created the creator that created the creator * +
