If the ancient civilisations like that of Egip, China, Greece and Rome didn't fade away do you think we would fly in spaceships now? They could have a glorious future ahead. I learnt history in school and on my own but i wonder why did they really die. What's the true reason? * +

Every empire has had different reasons to fall, and since you listed 4 huge empires, I'm sure it would take a lot of explaining And nah, empires fell 'cause they weren't capable of sustaining, no glorious future at all. * +

They declined gradually to the point where there was no future at all, happened with all those ancient empires, eventually met their end after a successful long run... * +

These external pressures finally ended the political existence of the Roman empire. Ancient Egypt had now different reasons to fall, not just due to financial reason... Though it was a huge aspect due to the the economic crises following Ramses III raids in Syria, however the decline was also due to The murder of Ramses III on the hands of the rebels who controlled Southern Egypt, their lack of unity, and not to mention being conquired by the Greeks, the Romans, and the Assyrians and Persians. * +

true but if all these didn't happen and if the continued for another 2000 years with maths formulas and astrology and meanwhile DaVincy was borned, Kopernic and many many others that were geniuses and contributed to science where would we be now? * +
