Life means the capability to reproduce, to regenerate, to grow, to live and to die. You can say that a lifeform is independent but not self-sufficient. We all perceive the world differently, hence all experience different realities. Time is linear according to our understanding, but deep down it is not. It can bend, etc etc. The universe is absolute, we are not. We are born, we grow, we experience, we die. What happens to our consciousness? It just changes form. Life is not nihilistic.
