France has become the 14th country to approve a law allowing gay marriage. Socialist President Francois Hollande made the law his flagship social reform. He is expected to add his signature to the bill once it has cleared any challenge in the constitutional council. * +

It is also the ninth country in Europe to allow same-sex marriage after legalisation in the traditionally liberal Netherlands and Scandinavia, but also in strongly Catholic Portugal and Spain. Legislation is also moving through the UK Parliament. France is now the 14th country to legalise gay marriage after New Zealand last week. * +

no probs, you don't have to. There have been mass protests against it in France. Personally, I think it's a good thing. * +

Don't get me wrong I think it is great that they have it now, I hope all countries follow suit. I am just not fond of the french at all. * +
