Salaam, this verse tells us that on day of judgement when Shataan will say this because people will blame Shataan for them going to Hell fire yet Shataan clearly says I had no authority over you, meaning that Shataan didn't force them to be bad and disbelieve, they themself chose that way. * +

my friend will get punished according to his bad deeds and I will get punished by misleading him also this is why on the day of judgement the people will say as well ''My lord, double the punishment on those who misguided us'', anyway this is why God says ''no soul shall carry a burden of another soul'', we will all be judged by our deeds BUT it is God alone that will give the final judgment. * +

@ s.unwin, Satan will never seek forgiveness from God, out of ignorance he will deceive many people as he can, God knows Satan will not ask for repentance, Satan is cursed, he disobeyed God. think of it another way, would you forgive a person that has no intention to become your friend, trying to corrupt your loved ones, an enemy of yours? as God says in the Quran, ''O mankind, Satan is the enemy of you, so take not him as your protector, he promises you false things''. * +
