I am becomin more nd more anti guns.. Tho I kno it is not a solution.. Yesterday a stray bullet hit my mother's upstairs neighbours kitchen window. It was from a gun fight between gangs in another neighbourhood.. It has really rattled me.. It could have been my Mum's flat, she could have been in the kitchen.... I kno bannin guns won't help but... * +

The problem is the attitude of some gun owners. Seeing the weapon as some type of prestige item or something that will automatically earn them respect. If they saw it as an insurance policy instead and something to be used as a last resort I think things would be safer. I also think gun collecting should be banned outright, its a loophole that many exploit. One handgun per household maximum, after extensive checks have been carried out. Gun ownership should be a privilege not a right. * +

u do know that most guns owed by gangs are unlicenced so even if u remove all legal guns they will still have guns. * +
