Different interpretations on what 'world' means in the Bible context. World and earth can mean the society of people living upon it. Bible scriprures say the earth,the planet, will abide forever and not be made to totter. It also shows people left over in it,when the wicked ones are destroyed. In 2 Peter 3:6, it refers to the world of Noah's time suffering destruction. But the same planet is still here,and of course Noah and his family survived. * +
