Nothing in the Qur'an forbidding pictures. This comes from ridiculous and backwards hadith like all the stupidity that gets attached to Islam. There was a strong Islamic art movement even during Muhammads time. The Haj Exhibition at The British Museum is a very accurate anthology of this work. Its idolatry thats forbidden. * +

I'm all for freedom of expression, but like everything It isn't limitless, religious sensitivities must be taken into account, I'm also okay with face covering banned for security purpose, but the drawing makes no sense to me. * +
