. . .a source for good in the world? Is it relevant or does it no longer have a place as a driving force in society as humanity continues to grow * +

Not looking for big row but my opinion is that as a ruling influence in society religion any religion is redundant and more often than not causes more problems than it solves * +

it will always have a place, but it's not about the end. it's a means to an end for those that believe. in the meantime, this world holds so much beauty, don't rush to the endtime, enjoy natures blessings, slow down, it will get here soon enough * +

But in the way belief is currently practiced I think its more damagibg than good, most major religions teachings are so dogmatic and intolerant differences in a world as diverse as this I see far more harm being caused than good. * +

The contradictions presented in how people should be treated in any of the big religions makes for trouble I mean it essentially boils down to love your fellow man. . .unless of course he or she has different beliefs or doesnt believe in marriage or fancies people of the same sex. In which case they are d*mned * +

And of course you can choose which parts you follow as millions of rational belivers do, but if its necessary to do that then surely its a sign that in its current incarnation the religion is no longer relevant * +
