6 people in this area of the balkans have claimed to see repeated visions of the virgin mary since 1981.Seems that the vatican may be coming around to accept their story.any views on this * +

Well aparently, the visions are being promoted in disobedience to to the local ordinary, or Bishop of the Province. Because the messages despite being ''authentic'' they do appear to contradict certain taeachings of the Roman Catholic Church. There is also an overemphasis on our sins 'offending' God and a series of Chastisements that await us if we do not repent. You know the usual. Highlights are that the alleged apparition of Mary states that all religions are equal in Jesus eyes. * +

That is the reason the Vatican never can aprove of it. If it does that decision will create the greatest schism in the history of the Roman Catholic Church. Because of its acceptance of all religions as equal and pleasing to Jesus. But the chastisements etc and the offending God is not being disaproved of. For we have the same messages in alot of those apparitions of Mary. Except one in Egypt she said nothing. Maybe that was Isis not Mary :) * +

I think once you remove the part of God being offended etc make sacrifices etc etc as if God does not know these peoples limitations before they are even born, and to attribute human character to our God is at best an misguided insult. * +

But does that mean that Atheists are displeasing to Jesus. That i cannot answer as I do not know. But I am glad that the visions of Medjugorje are in favour of interfaith unions. * +

Meh, given the Vatican tacit support for generations of filthy peadophile priests I couldnt give a furrry fart what they approve. They are no moral authority on anything. The pope should resign , the bishops and cardinals should follow him too. Hell, according to the church, even god all knowing all seeing knew what was going on, he should quit too. * +

Now, now, banjo. There is such a thing as punishments if not in one life time for paedophilia in many lifetimes. The atheistic explanation of the afterlife does not bode well with me. No there has to be a consequence of actions that are evil. * +
