Never happened . What a horrific tale to make up , what was he thinking .... Erm who was it iv forgot .... Mathew I think . The only gospel to mention it . Historians didn't document the even even the ones at the time who were against herod. They listed all he's crimes , yet some how didn't mention the murder of a village full of kids 
none of the other gospels mention it either .... Meh *
